Pinglish
Pinglish is one of the four official editions of the FarsiGo project.
It represents FarsiGo using the Latin alphabet.
Pinglish is not an automatic transliteration.
It follows its own official writing standard and is maintained manually, just like the English, Persian, and FarsiGo editions.
Its purpose is simple:
- Make FarsiGo accessible to learners who cannot yet read the Persian script.
- Allow writing FarsiGo on any keyboard or device.
- Provide a consistent Latin representation for documentation, dictionaries, search, AI systems, and educational material.
Every official example in the FarsiGo project is published in four official editions:
- English
- Persian
- FarsiGo
- Pinglish
Writing Principles
Pinglish represents pronunciation rather than Persian spelling whenever possible.
Every Persian letter has one preferred Latin representation.
The same sound should always be written the same way.
Consistency is more important than personal preference.

Philosophy
Pinglish is not a replacement for the Persian alphabet.
It is a bridge.
It allows learners to begin reading and writing immediately while gradually becoming familiar with the Persian script.
Just like FarsiGo itself, Pinglish is designed to reduce friction without changing the identity of the language.
